Five Below Recalls Defective Tabletop Fire Pits Due to Fire and Burn Hazards


WASHINGTON – Five Below has issued a recall of certain tabletop fire pits after reports that the products can pose a serious burn risk.

Federal safety officials said alcohol fuel used in the fire pits may splash or leak during lighting or use, causing a flash fire and larger flames that can extend beyond the unit. This hazard, known as flame jetting, increases the risk of severe burns and fire.

The recall covers two tabletop fire pit models: one with a smooth black base packaged in blue, yellow, or white boxes, and another with a beveled gray base packaged in green boxes. Both include a stainless-steel fuel cup, lid, and flame cover. Product packaging lists the affected UPCs and tracking numbers.

Five Below received at least one report of flames escaping from a unit. The fire pits were sold nationwide in stores and online from April 2024 through August 2025 for $2.50 to $5.
