28-Year-Old Man Killed in Crash with Tractor-Trailer at the Intersection of South Chicago Street and Schweitzer Road in Joliet, Illinois

JOLIET, Ill. — A 28-year-old Joliet man was killed Thursday afternoon after his car collided with a tractor-trailer at the intersection of South Chicago Street and Schweitzer Road.

The crash happened when a Kenworth tractor-trailer was leaving a business in the 3400 block of South Chicago Street. The truck began a left turn onto northbound South Chicago Street and struck a southbound Chevrolet Sonic.

The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
