Chrysler recalls nearly 2,000 Ram trucks for an Alleged AirBag Defect that Can Lead to Injury


WASHINGTON – Chrysler has issued a recall for nearly 2,000 Ram trucks due to a potential defect in the side curtain airbags, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall affects 1,761 vehicles, including certain 2018 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 models. Officials said the air bag inflaters may rupture, releasing sharp metal fragments that could strike vehicle occupants and cause injury.
