Michigan Woman Critically Injured in a Semi-truck Accident on the Ohio Turnpike in Brownhelm Township


BROWNHELM TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Michigan woman suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning when a semi-truck struck her vehicle on the Ohio Turnpike in Lorain County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. near milepost 137 when a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Ann Arbor woman became disabled in the right lane. A semi-truck traveling behind her collided with the car, forcing it off the road and into a guardrail.

The woman was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where she is being treated for critical injuries.
