Gazelle USA Recalls Allegedly Defective Urban Arrow FamilyNext Pro Cargo E-Bikes Over Buckle Failure and Injury Risk to Children


UNITED STATES — Gazelle USA has announced a recall of Urban Arrow FamilyNext Pro Cargo E-Bikes due to a safety issue involving the child restraint buckle system.

According to the recall notice, the Fidlock buckle used in the cargo area may not fully latch when securing children. If the buckle does not engage properly, a child could be at risk of injury while using the bicycle.

The recall applies to Urban Arrow FamilyNext Pro Cargo E-Bikes sold in green and black. The bicycles are manufactured in a single size and feature an aluminum frame with a reinforced foam (EPP) cargo box. The bike measures approximately 105 inches in length and 28 inches in width.

The company has received three reports of buckles failing to latch fully.
