SCUBAPRO Recalls Allegedly Defective Monorail Weight Pockets Due to Drowning Hazard

UNITED STATES — SCUBAPRO has recalled its Monorail Weight Pockets after discovering that a critical component can detach during use, potentially preventing divers from releasing their weights in an emergency and increasing the risk of serious injury or drowning.

The recall involves Monorail Weight Pockets designed for use with scuba diving buoyancy compensator devices (BCDs). The products feature a black base, a fabric pouch available in multiple colors, and a gray plastic D-ring handle for releasing the weight pocket.

The recalled products were sold through specialty dive shops nationwide and online at authorized retailers, including Scubapro.com, from November 2025 through February 2026 for approximately $200.

SCUBAPRO has received two reports involving detached D-ring handles.
