Todson Recalls Allegedly Defective Concord Light-Up Bicycle Helmets Over Head Injury and Death Risk


Todson Inc. has announced a recall of Concord-branded bicycle helmets after determining the products fail to meet required federal safety standards and may not adequately protect riders in a crash.

According to safety officials, the helmets do not comply with the mandatory retention system and positional stability requirements for bicycle helmets. Because of these issues, the helmets may not stay securely in place during an impact, increasing the risk of serious head injury or death.

The recall involves Concord 360 Degree Rechargeable Light-Up bike helmets sold in size large, designed to fit head circumferences of approximately 22.8 to 24 inches. The helmets feature a black exterior shell, integrated LED lighting, black straps and buckle, and an adjustable fit knob located at the back. The word “Concord” appears on the rear of the helmet.
