Water Truck Driver Injured After Tire Failure Causes Accident on Interstate-81 in Homer, New York

HOMER, New York — A 34-year-old water truck driver was injured Monday morning after a tire failure led to a rollover crash on Interstate 81 in Homer.

According to reports, the water truck was traveling north on I-81 when one of its tires failed. The driver lost control, and the truck left the roadway, rolled over, and traveled down a slope.

The driver was transported by ambulance for treatment. Authorities have not released information about the severity of the driver’s injuries.
