Sunneday and Blue Bay Recall Above-Ground Pools 48 Inches and Taller Due to Drowning Hazard

Certain Sunneday and Blue Bay brand above-ground pools measuring 48 inches or taller are being recalled due to a potential drowning risk.

The recall involves pools equipped with an exterior compression strap, also called a reinforcing belt, that wraps around the outside of the pool’s vertical support legs. The strap may create a foothold, allowing a child to climb into the pool without supervision.

Even if the ladder is removed, children may still be able to use the exterior strap to reach the pool, increasing the risk of drowning.

The recall includes all Sunneday and Blue Bay brand above-ground pools 48 inches and taller. The brand name and model information are printed on the pool’s exterior liner.
