Furnulem Recalls Allegedly Defective 8-Drawer Dressers Due to Tip-Over, Entrapment, and Death Hazards


Furnulem has announced a recall of its 8-drawer dressers after determining the furniture can pose a serious risk of injury or death if it is not secured to a wall.

According to the company, the dressers are unstable when left unanchored and can tip over, creating tip-over and entrapment hazards, particularly for children. The products do not comply with mandatory federal safety requirements for clothing storage units established under the STURDY Act.

The recall involves Furnulem 8-drawer dressers sold in black, brown, and white. The dressers measure approximately 13.8 inches deep, 45 inches wide, and 29.7 inches tall. They feature a metal frame, a wooden top with recessed power outlets, and eight collapsible fabric drawers. The model number “DS-0148D003” appears on the product packaging.
