Electrical Contractor Seriously Injured After Electric Shock at Odem Little League Field in Corpus Christi, Texas


CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An electrical contractor remains in intensive care Friday after suffering a serious electric shock while working at the Odem Little League Baseball Field.

According to Odem-Edroy ISD officials, the incident occurred on Thursday as the contractor was performing work on field lighting. Authorities said the worker was connecting wiring when he came into contact with an energized line.

First responders were called to the scene, and the injured contractor was transported to a hospital for emergency medical treatment. San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera confirmed that the man is currently in stable condition in the ICU.
