Watkins Manufacturing Recalls Allegedly Defective Hydromassage Rotary Jets in Highlife Collection Spas Over Drowning Risk


UNITED STATES — Watkins Manufacturing has announced a recall of certain hydromassage rotary jets installed in Highlife Collection spas due to potential entanglement and drowning hazards. The jets can generate suction strong enough to trap a user’s hair, potentially pulling the individual’s head underwater.

The recall involves six-fin hydromassage rotary jets used in Highlife Collection spas and also sold separately as replacement parts.

The affected products are found in model year 2023, 2024, and 2025 Highlife Collection spas. Eight spa models are included in the recall: Grandee, Envoy, Vanguard, Aria, Prodigy, Sovereign, Jetsetter, and Jetsetter LX.

One incident has been reported involving a consumer whose hair became caught in the jet system.
