Mack Trucks Recall Allegedly Defective Anthem and Pioneer Truck Models Due to Headlight Safety Issue


GREENSBORO, N.C. — Mack Trucks has announced a recall involving certain 2026 Anthem and 2025–2026 Pioneer models due to a lighting system issue that may violate federal safety standards. The lighting condition does not meet the specifications outlined in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108, which governs lamps and reflective equipment.

The company reports that the automatic high-beam feature may fail to switch to low beams when required. High beams that do not dim properly can reduce visibility for oncoming drivers and raise the risk of a crash.

Federal safety officials estimate that 247 vehicles are affected by the recall.
