Macardac Products Recalls Allegedly Defective Baby Loungers Due to Entrapment and Fall Hazards


WASHINGTON — Macardac Products has announced a recall of its baby loungers sold on Amazon after federal regulators found multiple safety violations that pose serious risks to infants.

The loungers fail to comply with the mandatory safety standard for Infant Sleep Products. Officials report that the side walls are too low to contain an infant safely, and the openings at the foot of the lounger exceed permitted dimensions, creating entrapment and fall hazards that could lead to serious injury or death. The loungers also lack a required stand, increasing the risk of falls when placed on elevated surfaces.

The recall includes Macardac baby loungers with a foam sleeping pad, padded bumpers, a cloth cover, and a buckle at one end. An attached exterior tag displays the “Macardac” name.

The products were available on Amazon.com from June 2024 through October 2025.
