Pacific Cycle Recalls Allegedly Defective Schwinn Ovation Bicycle Child Carriers Due to Fall Risk


WASHINGTON — Pacific Cycle has announced a recall of Schwinn Ovation bicycle child carriers after discovering that the restraint buckles can disengage during use, creating a risk that a child could fall.

The recall affects the Schwinn Ovation Bicycle Child Carrier, model number SW80356. The carrier is black with a gray seat cushion, black harness straps, and red buckles, and is designed to attach to a rear bicycle rack that was sold with the product.

The affected products carry date codes 712A0329BE and 712A0421BE. The model number and date code can be found on the underside of the carrier.

At least one incident has been reported in which the buckles came undone.
