Sanven Technology Recalls Allegedly Defective VEVOR Ice Crushers Due to Fire Hazard


WASHINGTON — Sanven Technology has announced a recall of VEVOR ice crushing machines after reports that the products can overheat and ignite, posing a fire and injury risk.

According to safety officials, the recalled ice crushers may experience a thermal failure during use. The products are designed for consumer use and feature a press-down handle that feeds ice into a chute, activating an internal cutting mechanism.

The recall includes VEVOR ice crushers marketed as ice shavers, ice crushers, and snow cone makers. All affected units were sold under model numbers BY-300 and BY-300 FS and were available in yellow, red, silver, and blue. The brand name “Vevor” and the model number are printed on a label located on the top of the machine.

Sanven Technology reported receiving two incidents involving thermal events with the recalled product.
