MyOnlyStyler Recalls Allegedly Defective Root Booster Hair Dryers Due to Electrocution and Shock Hazards


WASHINGTON — MyOnlyStyler has announced a recall of its Root Booster Hair Dryers after federal regulators determined the products pose a significant risk of electrocution and electric shock.

Officials report that the handheld dryers were manufactured without an immersion protection device. Without this required safety feature, the dryers can cause serious injury or death if they fall into water while plugged in.

The recall covers MyOnlyStyler Root Booster Hair Dryers sold in white with black bristles and “MY ONLY STYLER” printed on the handle. The model number “MOS-22” is displayed on the back of the handle. The unit measures approximately 12 inches long and 1.75 inches wide.
