Volkswagen Recalls More Than 350,000 Defective Audi Vehicles Over Rearview Camera Failure


Volkswagen has announced a large recall affecting more than 350,000 Audi vehicles after identifying a defect that can prevent the rearview camera from displaying an image.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue stems from a software problem that may cause the rearview camera system to fail, reducing rear visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. Regulators noted that the defect can cause the camera screen to go blank when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

The recall includes the following Audi models and model years:

Audi A6 (2019–2025)
Audi A6 Allroad (2020–2026)
Audi A7 (2019–2025)
Audi A8 (2019–2026)
Audi E-Tron (2019–2024)
Audi E-Tron GT (2022–2026)
Audi E-Tron Sportback (2020–2024)
