Mack Trucks Recall Pioneer Models Due to Load Lock Clamp Defect that can Lead to a Crash


GREENSBORO, N.C. — Mack Trucks has issued a recall for select Pioneer models from the 2025–2026 model years due to a defect involving load lock clamps mounted at the rear of the cab.

According to the company, the clamps may loosen during operation, leaving the load lock bars unsecured. An unsecured load can cause cargo to shift or fall from the vehicle, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

Federal safety officials report that 46 trucks are included in the recall.
