Agrish Recalls Allegedly Defective Adult Portable Bed Rails Due to Entrapment and Suffocation Risk

Agrish has announced a recall of certain adult portable bed rails after determining the products pose a serious risk of entrapment and asphyxiation when installed on adult beds.

According to safety officials, the recalled bed rails do not comply with mandatory federal safety standards for adult portable bed rails. When attached to a bed, users may become trapped within the rail or caught between the rail and the side of the mattress, creating a risk of severe injury or death due to suffocation.

The recall applies to Agrish-branded adult portable bed rails sold for use on adult beds. Affected model numbers include 2512, 2513, and 2516.

The recalled bed rails feature white metal tubing with rounded gray foam grips on the handles. Some versions also include support legs, a gray fabric storage pouch, and a motion-sensor light.

The company has reported receiving at least one incident involving a consumer fall associated with one of the recalled models.
