Isla Rae Recalls Allegedly Defective Magnetic Wireless Chargers Over Fire and Burn Risk


Isla Rae has announced a recall of its magnetic wireless chargers after reports that the devices can overheat and explode during use, creating a serious risk of fire and burn injuries.

According to safety officials, the recalled chargers may malfunction during charging, potentially igniting or bursting into flames. Such failures pose an injury risk.

The recall involves Isla Rae–branded magnetic wireless chargers sold at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls retail stores. The chargers are designed to attach magnetically to the back of a phone and are compatible with magnetic charging systems. The recalled products were sold in white, pink, and purple and have model number RM5PBM, which is printed on the side of the device beneath the markings “5000 mAh 3.7V.”
