Semi-Truck Driver Injured in Tire Blowout Accident on Interstate-380 in Center Point, Iowa

CENTER POINT, Iowa — A 60-year-old La Porte City man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after the semi-truck he was traveling in experienced tire failure on Interstate 380 near Center Point.

According to authorities, the semi was traveling northbound when a tire failed, causing the truck to cross over a median guardrail and enter a creek.

The driver was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
