The Ammons Law Firm has filed a lawsuit against Three Arrows Energy, LLC, and other defendants following a serious truck crash. The incident resulted in serious injuries to the plaintiff, highlighting the dangers of defective vehicle equipment and inadequate driver training.
According to the lawsuit, a Three Arrows Energy truck operated by one of the company’s employees disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the plaintiff’s vehicle. The petition alleges the crash occurred because the International Hydrotester’s brakes were worn, damaged, and/or otherwise defective at the time of the collision, and The Ammons Law Firm is seeking to hold Three Arrows Energy accountable for negligently maintaining its commercial vehicle and for failures in training, managing, and supervising its driver on safe driving practices.
The Ammons Law Firm is pursuing multiple theories of liability in this case. They allege that the driver was negligent in his operation of the commercial vehicle, citing failure to keep a proper lookout, failure to stop at a marked stop sign, failure to safely merge onto the highway, and failure to properly inspect and maintain the truck as contributing factors to the crash. The lawsuit is also seeking to hold Three Arrows Energy accountable under the doctrine of respondeat superior, which holds employers responsible for the negligent actions of their employees while on the job. Furthermore, the lawsuit claims that Three Arrows Energy was directly negligent in its training and supervision practices and failed to properly maintain the International Hydrotester’s braking systems. The lawsuit is pursuing gross negligence claims against Three Arrows Energy. They argue that the defendant’s actions demonstrated conscious indifference to the rights, safety, and welfare of others on the road, warranting exemplary damages as a deterrent to such reckless behavior in the future.
The lawsuit seeks substantial damages on behalf of the plaintiff, including compensation for physical pain and mental anguish, physical impairment, medical treatment expenses both past and future, diminished earning capacity and loss of earnings, and all costs of court, including pre-judgment and post-judgment interest in the maximum amount permitted by law.
