WASHINGTON — Winkids has announced a recall of Alinux baby loungers sold on Amazon due to multiple safety violations that create a dangerous sleep environment for infants.

Federal regulators report that the loungers fail to meet the mandatory safety standard for Infant Sleep Products. The side walls are too low to keep an infant contained, and the openings at the foot of the lounger are wider than permitted, creating serious entrapment and fall hazards that could result in injury or death. The loungers also lack a required stand, increasing the risk of falls if placed on elevated surfaces.

The recall covers Alinux baby loungers made with a foam sleeping pad and padded bumpers, covered in cloth with a ribbon tie at one end. They were sold in pink, grey, and purple. The label on the outer cover displays model number “BP25001” and batch number “ZZ-FBA25052305-1.”
