Twenty-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Tire Blowout Accident Causes Rollover on State Route 570 Polk Parkway in Auburndale, Florida

AUBURNDALE, Florida — A 20-year-old college student suffered serious injuries Saturday afternoon after a tire reportedly detached from his vehicle while he was driving on State Route 570. The incident happened as the driver was traveling westbound on the Polk Parkway near the Braddock Road overpass.

According to authorities, the front right tire on the Toyota Camry blew out while the vehicle was traveling in the inside lane. The car then veered across the outside lane and left the roadway before striking a retaining wall near the overpass. The impact caused the vehicle to spin clockwise and roll over before coming to rest on its side.

The driver suffered incapacitating injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
