Ismael Galvan Killed in Work Truck Accident Near the Intersection of Northrise Drive and Avenida Carmen in Las Cruces, New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico — A Las Cruces man died Friday night following a single-vehicle rollover crash near the intersection of Northrise Drive and Avenida Carmen.

Police said officers responded to reports of a rollover collision in the area. When emergency crews arrived, they discovered a white Ford work truck that had overturned.

The driver, identified as 49-year-old Ismael Galvan of Las Cruces, was the only occupant inside the vehicle. Authorities said he suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vehicles need to be checked for defects in rollover crashes

In a single-vehicle rollover, all eyes will be on the driver and road conditions. While that is a natural place to start, it is only part of the story of what could have gone wrong.
