Gudook Recalls Allegedly Defective Adult Bicycle Helmets Due to Head Injury Hazard

WASHINGTON — Certain Gudook adult bicycle helmets have been recalled after federal safety officials determined they do not provide the level of impact protection required by mandatory bicycle helmet safety standards.

According to the recall, the affected helmets fail to meet federal impact attenuation and certification requirements. As a result, the helmets may not adequately protect a rider’s head during a crash, increasing the risk of serious head injury or death.

The recall involves Gudook adult bicycle helmets, model KY-055, sold in blue and white in size medium. Only helmets with batch number 202503 and a March 2025 manufacturing date are included in the recall.

The bicycle helmets were sold online on Amazon from May 2025 through February 2026 for approximately $23 each.
