Houston Premises Liability Attorney Secures $1M Settlement

Our client had gone back to his room for the night when he stepped into standing water that had collected on the walkway outside his door. The water had come from an air conditioning unit mounted just outside his room, runoff that had nowhere to go but onto the path guests used to come and go.

His foot slipped out from under him. He reached out to catch himself, and instead of finding something solid, his arm went straight through a window near his door. The glass opened a severe wound just below his elbow, one deep enough that first responders had to apply a tourniquet on scene to control the bleeding.

He was flown by helicopter to a Houston hospital for emergency treatment.
