Of Counsel*

"As personal injury attorneys, our work is not just a job – it is a passion. A passion to see to it that our clients not only receive healing for their injuries, but for their hearts. Fueled by this passion, we help disadvantageous people have a voice that is just as loud and powerful as big companies."

Miriah Soliz is a native Houstonian who brings invaluable experience and skill to The Ammons Law Firm. Her commitment of working with clients and their families on a daily basis fuels her passion of being a notable personal injury attorney.

In order to fulfill her dream of becoming a fierce advocate for those in need, Miriah attended the University of Houston Honors College where she graduated with honors and received a bachelor’s degree in political science. After college, Miriah received a prestigious scholarship to attend the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, where she was distinguished both in her academic pursuits and her extracurricular activities, including mock trial and client negotiation simulation. While in law school, Miriah received the Negotiation and Leadership Certificate at Harvard University and served overseas as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of India. Her time with the Supreme Court awarded her the opportunity to develop and excel in her legal writing skills in criminal and civil law.

Miriah has had the distinct honor and privilege of working with many top and notable law firms while pursuing her education as a lawyer. As a result, she honed her skills litigating personal injury claims long before receiving her bar membership. Miriah has extensive experience in navigating the multiple stages of litigation, including discovery, drafting complex legal documents, leading depositions, and assisting in rigorous trial matters from empaneling jurors to successfully arguing against opposing party’s claims in front of the judge.

*As the founding member of The Soliz Law Firm, PLLC, Miriah represents clients and maintains a practice that is independent of The Ammons Law Firm LLP. Due to her past association with The Ammons Law Firm LLP, Miriah Soliz is “of Counsel” to the Firm.

One of her most notable verdicts included winning a $3 million verdict for a personal injury case.

  • $3 Million Jury Verdict

In a unanimous jury verdict where Defendants refused to offer a penny to settle the case, Miriah won a $3 million jury verdict in a personal injury case.
