Ford Sued by Vehicle Defect Attorney Rob Ammons Following Fatal Crash

On behalf of the husband and children of a Texas woman killed in a crash, The Ammons Law Firm has filed a lawsuit against Ford. The 39-year-old wife and mother was a belted front-seat passenger in a 2003 Ford F150 Super Duty pickup that was struck in its passenger side by a second vehicle. The woman suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the crash from which she later died.

In the lawsuit, it is alleged that the F150 is defective because it is not crashworthy. Ammons claims the pickup was designed and manufactured by Ford without a structure known as a B pillar.

Additionally, it is alleged in the lawsuit that Ford should have equipped the pickup with a side torso airbag. The lack of both a B pillar and a side torso airbag deprived the woman of the occupant protection she deserved in this side-impact crash and directly caused her fatal injuries. The pickup she occupied looked like this following the crash.
