Reported Chemical Exposure Killed Two at Pasadena, TX Plant

Two employees of a chemical transportation plant in Pasadena, TX were found dead at the site. According to witness testimonies as reported by KHOU 11 news, “the men went into a tank to clean and were overcome by fumes around 1:30 a.m. Saturday [December 28, 2019].” It was described that the tank was part of an 18-wheeler truck.

The chemical plant is located at the 5100 block of Underwood Road in Pasadena. The victims were discovered by another employee. Harris County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of the deaths around 7 a.m. and pronounced the workers dead at the scene. Although fume inhalation was reported as the cause of death by witnesses, further details on the incident are being investigated. The story is still developing.
