The Ammons Law Firm Wins Injured Texas Man’s Case Against Negligent Trucking Company

Attorneys Robert Ammons and Justin Burrow of The Ammons Law Firm have successfully concluded a lawsuit filed on behalf of a Texas man seriously injured in a collision with an 18-wheeler. The litigation stemmed from a crash in which the driver of the tractor-trailer pulled out of a private drive and attempted to cross the southbound lanes of a highway without yielding the right of way to oncoming traffic. Following the crash, the man suffered several fractured ribs, a liver laceration, and a collapsed lung.

It was alleged in the lawsuit that the driver of the tractor-trailer was negligent by failing to yield to oncoming traffic, entering an intersection when it was unsafe, and failing to keep a proper lookout. The driver’s reckless conduct caused the crash, but Attorneys Ammons and Burrow further alleged that the driver’s employer failed to properly train, supervise, and monitor its driver to ensure he was not placing other drivers at risk. The firm sought economic and human damages from the trucking company, as a board-certified doctor projected the costs of necessary future treatments and services for the man at $688,000.00.
