An independent investigation may determine if negligence was a factor in this crash
Although we cannot say with certainty what the factors leading to this crash may be, the family of the deceased man would likely benefit from consulting an attorney the focuses on handling wrecks with semi-trucks to oversee an independent legal investigation into the cause of this accident.
Semi-truck drivers are supposed to be aware of their surroundings while driving and pay close attention to the other cars on the road to avoid a collision. Additionally, it is the responsibility of commercial trucking companies to ensure their drivers are educated on evasive maneuvers to use to prevent a crash. Even though the pickup truck driver may have cut in front of the semi-truck, the semi-truck driver may have been able to prevent the accident by utilizing evasive maneuvers or being better educated about stopping speed in a big rig.
An independent legal investigation could assist the pickup driver’s family in finding out whether the semi-truck driver could have done anything to avoid the collision or make the accident less severe. Indeed, at the Ammons Law Firm, we offer legal strategies aimed at obtaining all relevant information related to a crash and can advise clients wishing to pursue legal remedies for another driver’s negligence.
Our attorneys are also experienced in bringing claims against trucking companies. So, if an investigation were to determine that the truck driver or trucking company failed to take steps that could have impacted the result of this accident, the pickup driver’s family may not be left without legal recourse for the death of their loved one.
