Carlos Hernandez-Alvarez killed in a pipeline accident

Bexar County, Texas – One man was killed while working on a gas line project in Bexar County. According to Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office, Carlos Hernandez-Alvarez, 52, died after a pipe fell from an 18-wheeler and struck him.

Carlos Hernandez-Alvarez was an employee of Badeco performing contract work for CPS Energy. The crew was working on a gas pipeline. At the time of the incident, the crew was removing large metal gas line pipes that were loaded onto an 18-wheeler. It is not exactly clear what happened, but we know that one of the pipes was dislodged and struck Carlos Hernandez-Alvarez.

OSHA is investigating the accident. No further information was immediately available.

The Hernandez-Alvarez family deserves justice for the wrongful death of their loved one.

When an innocent man is killed in an industrial accident, the surviving family deserves answers. OSHA will conduct its investigation and determine what went wrong. While that takes place, the surviving family should be provided a right to bring a wrongful death claim against the people responsible for the incident and receive the answers they desperately need and the financial compensation they deserve. Hopefully, those responsible will accept liability swiftly and let this family move forward peacefully.
