Cinthya Guerrero Killed in a Semi-Truck Accident on County Road 16 US 60 in Parmer, Texas

Parmer, Texas — A Friona woman lost her life following a crash involving a car and a semi-trailer on US 60.

According to reports, around 6:50 a.m., a 1999 Peterbilt truck tractor was towing a semi-trailer northbound on County Road 17. The truck stopped at a stop sign at the US 60 intersection. At the same time, Cinthya Guerrero was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze westbound on US 60 in the inside lane.

The truck tractor crossed over the eastbound lanes of US 60 and then moved into the crossover in the center median to turn west on US 60. The truck driver failed to yield the right of way and entered the westbound inside lane, ultimately colliding with Guerrero’s car.

Guerrero was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is a devastating crash that appears to have been, based on the information available, entirely preventable. The parties responsible need to answer for the harm they have caused to the surviving family.
