Thoughts on Rollovers and Safety Features That Fail to Function Correctly

While the news report suggests the driver in this accident did not have his seatbelt on, there are many times when older model trucks fail to restrain a passenger during the force of a rollover. If that is the case, the defective seat belt may have allowed this man to be ejected and subsequently killed.

A defective vehicle means the safety functions failed to work properly. Manufacturers know rollover accidents are dangerous and deadly and are responsible for producing trucks that can safely protect their occupants. When manufacturers fail to provide their consumers adequate protection, and someone loses their life, the manufacturer should give account to the surviving family.

Trained professionals will need to examine the vehicle in question to determine whether it functioned as it should.

May all the factors leading to this tragic accident be revealed.
