One Person Injured After a Semi-Truck Accident on Natcher Parkway, Ohio County, Kentucky

Ohio County, Kentucky – A collision between a car and a semi-truck on Thursday evening left one person injured.

Reports state that the car collided with the semi-truck’s rear and ended up underneath the trailer. At least one individual involved in the accident was airlifted out of state to a hospital, with the extent of their injuries currently undisclosed.

Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.

Thoughts on rear-end collisions with commercial trucks

Because this is a rear-end collision, people will quickly assume the driver is entirely responsible for running into the back of a truck. However, this is not always the case. More information is needed to ensure the truck driver took steps to prevent this rear-end accident. Was the trailer equipped with proper lighting? The accident appears to have happened at night, and flatbed trailers are difficult to see. Additionally, was the trailer going slow or parked entirely? Not traveling with the flow of traffic can create an extreme danger.

A person has been seriously injured: if the truck driver or company contributed to these injuries, the harmed deserve answers for the suffering endured.
