Semi-Trucks Have Accident on 15 Freeway south of the Wild Wash Road, Apple Valley, California

Apple Valley, California — Two big rigs collided on the northbound 15 Freeway on Wednesday night after one of the semis suffered a tire blowout. The incident occurred just south of the Wild Wash Road offramp.

According to reports, the big rig that experienced a tire blowout became disabled and obstructed the slow lane when the second semi crashed into the stalled vehicle.

The driver of one of the semi-trucks ended up trapped inside the overturned vehicle, impaled due to the impact of the collision. Emergency responders requested a helicopter for the critically injured driver’s airlift to a nearby trauma center. Reports say the injured suffered head injuries.
