Motorcycle Crash After Tire Blowout Leaves One Seriously Injured in Belpre, Ohio

BELPRE, Ohio – A motorcycle accident in Belpre resulted in severe injuries to one individual after the motorcycle experienced a blown-out tire, causing the driver to be ejected. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon on State Route 7 southbound near Joe Skinner Road.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the driver, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was swiftly transported to Camden Clark Medical Center for medical attention. The OSHP confirmed that the driver is alive but undergoing treatment for serious injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash and will release further information as it becomes available.

The tire will need to be inspected to determine why it failed. If it blew out because of defects in the tire or because of negligence by a third party, the injured should be given the opportunity to hold the accountable party responsible for the medical care and other costs associated with the accident.
