TUSTIN, California — On June 17, early Saturday morning, a tragic incident occurred on the 5 Freeway in Tustin, resulting in the loss of a man’s life.
The fatal crash took place at approximately 2:50 a.m. on the southbound freeway near Tustin Ranch Road. The California Highway Patrol reported that a Federal Express truck collided with the man’s vehicle from behind, leading to a devastating fire engulfing the car.
Regrettably, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, as confirmed by the first responders.
To respect the privacy of the victim’s family, the Orange County Coroner’s Office will disclose the identity of the deceased once the immediate family members have been duly notified.
As of now, no further details are available, and the authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
