Truck Crash on Interstate 59 in Purvis, Mississippi, Leaves One Injured

PURVIS, Miss. – A serious accident took place on Interstate 59 near the Purvis exit. The incident happened at approximately 7 a.m., causing the initial blockage of all southbound lanes. Eventually, highway patrol officers were able to slowly guide traffic through, but significant delays were expected.

A video captured at the accident site reveals an overturned semi-truck carrying what appears to be medium-sized construction equipment.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, one individual sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident. Additionally, a passing driver reported witnessing a medical evacuation helicopter responding to the scene.

No further information was immediately available as authorities continued their investigation.
