One dead and four injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 40 in Carson County, Texas

CARSON COUNTY, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety has released information regarding a serious rollover accident that has left one person dead and four others injured.

The cause of the rollover accident was not released as investigators continued to investigate the crash.

According to reports, the crash occurred on Interstate 40 near FM 2373 early Thursday morning.

One person was killed after being ejected from the vehicle. Four others suffered various non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

No further information was immediately available.

Motorists injured in rollover accidents may be entitled to a personal injury lawsuit against the manufacturer of the vehicle.

These are difficult accidents because most assume the vehicle’s driver is solely responsible for the crash and that there is no financial recovery for the injured motorists and the deceased’s family. This is not true when a rollover accident results in injuries that would not have been suffered had the vehicle been properly designed. Under the law, a vehicle is considered defective when it fails to provide the occupant protection needed to withstand serious injuries in foreseeable accidents. To determine if those injured in this crash were injured beyond what would be expected in a rollover crash, the vehicle must be inspected by trained auto defect attorneys.

Our firm helps people injured in rollover accidents recover the financial compensation they deserve when their injuries are caused by a defect in the vehicle. In rollovers specifically, the vehicle must be designed to withstand the force of a rollover crash. If the manufacturer failed to construct the vehicle to protect occupants in a rollover crash, it may be responsible for the injuries and death suffered in this collision.

The injured motorists and the family of the deceased victim will need to consult trained product defect attorneys to determine the best path forward. If an investigation determines that the vehicle was defective, the innocent victims should be given a right to bring a lawsuit against the vehicle’s manufacturer and recover the financial assistance they need to cover medical care and recover the financial compensation they deserve for the pain and suffering they have been forced to endure.
