Jason Greer Killed and Another Person Injured in a Rollover Accident  on I-80  in Sweetwater County, Wamsutter, Wyoming

Wamsutter, Wyoming — One person died, and another was injured when the pickup truck they were traveling in rolled over. The incident happened on Interstate 80.

According to reports, Jason Greer was heading eastbound when he lost control of his pickup truck on the snow-covered roads. Greer’s vehicle veered off the roadway, entered a ditch, tripped, and ultimately rolled.

Mr. Greer lost his life in the wreck. A passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical attention.

Further details will be released as they become available.

Fatal Rollover Accidents Need To be Looked at to See If Truck Was Defective

We take for granted that our trucks will protect us when we most need them. We assume seatbelts will restrain, airbags will deploy, and roofs will protect us from harm in a high-impact accident. Sadly, this isn’t always the case. Some manufacturers produce trucks that simply fail to protect. People are usually injured when the roof of a truck crushes or a seatbelt fails to restrain.

We just recently handled a rollover crash in Platte County, Wyoming, for the family of a man who was killed when his F-250 rolled over, and the roof of the truck crushed him. The wife was also in the truck and suffered serious injuries.

Trucks that cause harm that could have been prevented with better engineering have no business on our roadways. The law often says these vehicles are defective. Manufacturers that produce defective trucks need to answer when innocent motorists are seriously injured and killed.

To determine whether the truck in this incident was defective and caused the fatal and serious injuries, trained professionals will need to look at the vehicle. The families of those affected here need answers and justice for their loved one’s harm.
