Multi-vehicle Accident with Semi-Truck on US-421 Claims One Life in LaPorte County, Indiana

LaPorte County, Indiana — An accident with a Jeep, tractor, and SUV resulted in one fatality. The incident happened Sunday morning just before 11:15 a.m. on US-421 near County Road 125 South.

According to reports, a northbound Jeep collided with a southbound 1996 Kenworth tractor. Following the initial collision, the tractor crossed the center line and collided head-on with a northbound SUV.

The SUV driver was airlifted to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. Another passenger in the SUV was also transported to the hospital, and their current condition remains undisclosed. Medical personnel transported the driver of the Jeep to the hospital. The tractor’s driver declined treatment at the scene.
