Sandra Deichert Killed, Three Others Injured in a Rollover Accident on Interstate 94, Dickinson, North Dakota

Dickinson, North Dakota — One person lost her life, and three others suffered serious injuries in a rollover crash that happened five miles east of Dickinson.

According to reports, a 2003 GMC Sierra lost control on the road, veered into a ditch, and rolled over.

Passenger Sandra Deichert died from the impact. The driver, James Deichert, and two other passengers sustained serious injuries.

Weather conditions included ice and snow.

The season of ice, snow, and wind is here. This has historically resulted in more Pickup truck rollover accidents.  This is because trucks have a higher center of gravity. A high center of gravity makes vehicles roll over easier.

Unfortunately, trucks are also more likely to injure occupants when they rollover. This is because truck roofs are often built without strong metal. This causes truck roofs to crush people, as shown in the photo below.
