A Trailer Truck Accident Results in One Fatality and Two Hospitalizations on I-10 East of Willcox, Arizona

WILLCOX, Ariz. — At approximately 7:23 a.m., Tuesday, a box truck was struck by another semi-trailer transporting liquid ammonia on Interstate 10. 

The incident transpired on the eastbound lanes, just east of the turnoff for Highway 191 when the semi-trailer driver experienced a medical emergency and collided with the box truck.  

The passenger of the box truck lost their life, while the driver sustained severe injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.  

The driver of the semi-trailer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
