Thoughts on Pickup Truck Rollover That Caused One Man Injuries

Many people in rollover accidents are injured or killed because the vehicle they are in fails to provide them with sufficient protection. In fact, we have handled over 300 rollover cases similar to this incident, where a similar model vehicle caused serious injury or death. Unfortunately, specific models and brands of vehicles have become synonymous with the words rollover, injury, and death.

When a person’s vehicle contributes to or causes their injury or death, the vehicle may be defective. Examples of defects in vehicles include seatbelts that fail to restrain, airbags that fail to deploy, and roofs that collapse and crush on impact. When accidents like the one with Mr. Kennedy happen, it is crucial for trained professionals to conduct an independent investigation to determine if the truck he was driving contributed to his injury. This way, if the vehicle shows a manufacturer defect, the manufacturing company may be held responsible for the injury their defective product caused.

The first rule of engineering is to design away the risk. Vehicles should be designed with safety in mind. A trusted vehicle should protect its occupants. We as a people deserve that. When manufacturing companies fail to produce safe cars and trucks, and these vehicles contribute to an individual’s serious injury or death, the manufacturer should be held accountable for their negligent actions.
