Truck Accident at Deming Rest Stop Leaves One Dead

DEMING, NM — A multi-truck collision occurred at a rest stop west of Deming on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the loss of one life.

The crash unfolded near mile marker 52 on Interstate 10 eastbound at a rest stop.

The collision began when a truck driver appeared to lose control of his vehicle following a blowout. Witnesses reported that the driver was traveling at a high speed before entering the rest stop area. The truck collided with the trailer of another truck, resulting in a fiery impact. Multiple trucks were ultimately involved in the incident, with several catching fire.

One fatality has been confirmed, and several individuals sustained injuries of varying degrees.
