Truck Accident Claims the Life of Andrew Garrett Near I-44 and Range Line Road in Joplin, Missouri

JOPLIN, Missouri — A Joplin man died after a semi-truck struck him near Interstate 44 and Range Line Road. The accident happened shortly before 10 p.m.

Preliminary reports state The Joplin Police Department received a call from an individual stating a close encounter with a pedestrian while traveling down the interstate. When officers reached the scene, a semi-truck had struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, identified as Andrew L. Garrett, succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.

The driver of the semi-truck was unharmed.
