Accident Claims Life in Crash Between 18-Wheeler and Pickup Truck in McCalla, Jefferson County, Alabama

McCalla, Jefferson County, Alabama –  A midday crash occurred at an intersection in western Jefferson County, resulting in the loss of one individual’s life. The collision transpired at McAshan Road and Old Tuscaloosa Highway in McCalla.

Involved in the incident were a Publix 18-wheeler and a pickup truck.

The pickup truck driver succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at UAB West.

The driver of the 18-wheeler emerged from the collision unharmed.
